The Black Tie Gala features a four-course sumptuous dinner, a silent auction, and dancing until midnight with a live band. The evening also showcases an eclectic mix of modern, jazz, and contemporary dance. This year we'll even include a touch of Flamenco. Performances will be by Halifax Dance instructors, companies in residence, and special guest artists. Performances will be choreographed by: Penelope Evans Spicer, Kym Butler, Ruth Ellen Kroll Jackson, Gwen Noah Dance and Verve Mwendo, with guest performances by El Viento Flamenco, guitarist Daniel MacNeil, and jazz musician Mike Cowie.
